rock_n_roll_rabbit_hole I bought this album to play one track on the radio, but I keep going back and listening to the whole thing over and over. Thick, chunky, satisfying rock music. Favorite track: are you happy.

matt von d I was terribly shaken by Mark Linkous's suicide in 2010. Sparklehorse was among my favorite bands, Linkous's fragile, damaged, timeless, and otherworldly music was poetry that resonated deep within my being. The Rabbit, fortunately, continues Linkous's vision and features both family and former collaborators. I hope for more from this duo, but am overly satisfied with this small offering for the time being. Favorite track: the carrot.

about

The Rabbit is Melissa Moore, Matt Linkous and friends.

"Rabbits' survival depends on their sitting still for long periods, a trait they've likely developed to avoid being seen by predators who watch for movement." ~from Living with Wildlife

These songs were recorded in the spring of 2002. There was a contract that wasn't right for us. We weren't on a label. We became busy with other things. So The Rabbit sat still and waited.

The Carrot was hiding in the thicket.
